Abstract

The objective of this work is to shed light on the sound materiality of melancholy present in the work of Vitor Ramil. For this, we carried out an analysis based on the tensive semiotics of the song Hermenegildopresent in Campos Neutrais(2017) album. As a result, melancholy does not materialize only by the predominance of the minor key of the song. It is an existing tension between the typical intonation forces of speech and the musical forces present in the melody composed by the author.
