Abstract

This article analyzes two creative processes with alterity as their theme, both involved with the context in which the artists involved live, study and work professionally. The dialogue is established with authors who study the body, philosophy and politics such as Greiner (2017, 2019), Rancière (2005), Mbembe (2018, 2021) among others.  It is observed that art has proven to be fundamental when simulating states of otherness, based on connections between movement-triggering devices, and has the possibility of explaining thoughts about processes involving racism, memory, prejudice, discourses on networks and, mainly, the way of dealing with diversity. The artistic propositions presented here are not subservient to the devices of power, as they have the possibility of generating changes and, with that, ways of life and joint forces from different paths, which experience their time and the time that is necessary.
