This paper will present part of the process of creation and elaboration of the installation produced in textile art Via corporis. The creation of embroideries which are called “skins”. In the aesthetic referential I bring the works of Julia Panadés and Bené Fonteles, both Brazilian artists who work with textile art and use the concept of shroud and ritual in their artistic processes. I present the possible relations of Via corporis with the spheres of ritual and magic based on the works of Leonora Carrington and Bené Fonteles, presenting other artists who also brought to their works elements of esotericism. Concluding the discussion with the concept of profanation treated by Giorgio Agamben. In dialogue with this text I observe that the installation is a threshold of transgression of both the rituals of visiting art exhibitions and the ritual of the Via Crucis itself, promoting a crossing of both spheres, art and rite.
