Abstract

Têm-se, aqui, comentários feitos a partir do filme Diferente dos Outros, de 1919, do diretor e roteirista Richard Oswald, considerando sua importância, que corajosamente se deu no século passado e segue, certamente, até os dias atuais. O pioneirismo do filme, em retratar o homossexualismo de forma tão aberta, traz à trama uma naturalidade ao abordar o assunto, que era crime na época, hoje ainda é tabu, e acabou por tonar-se um clássico, devido à sua alta comunicabilidade, relevância e até mesmo uma linguagem quase documental, em alguns momentos, para educar seus expectadores.
