Este artigo aborda um estudo comparativo entre os procedimentos teatrais do
diretor inglês Peter Brook, fundador do Centro Internacional de Pesquisa Teatral, e dafrancesa Ariane Mnouchkine, diretora do Théâtre du Soleil, a partir da interculturalidade, dosprocessos de criação (e sua condução pedagógica) e da atualização de Shakespeare –analisando as diferenças entre as abordagens dos encenadores em cada um destes aspectos.
