This essay-memoir, organized into six movements, discusses transmissibility in the performing arts, addressing dance and theatre, considering body, language, and the imaginary. The first and second movements establish the ethical dimension implied in the act of transmitting, and the political dimension of presence, a fundamental characteristic of the area, especially relevant in the contemporary world. The third and fourth movements address transmissibility in dance and theatre, starting from a creative challenge: to create a small scenic work following the poetics of Françoise Dupuy (1925-2022) through her disciple and my creative partner, Isabelle Dufau. The fifth and sixth movements encompass the creation itself, exploring the modes of transmission indicated, ending with the scenic script.
