This article presents the results of a study whose general objective was to identify the place attributed to Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC in Brazilian Portuguese) by Portuguese language teachers during work with literary reading carried out in high school courses. integrated into professional and technological education in state public schools in the Central-West region of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The investigation adopted a qualitative approach and used documentary and field research, which used an online questionnaire applied to 13 teachers from 15 schools as a data collection instrument. This entire process made it possible to verify that teachers who work in the researched institutions recognize the value and importance of studying literary texts, but find it difficult to insert TDIC as an educational intervention strategy in order to form the critical reader of literary texts desired by the documents. regulators of the final years of Brazilian basic education.
