Abstract

This study investigates the impacts of educational training processes on the professional trajectory of Physical Education teachers from the public school system of Pau dos Ferros/RN, especially regarding the construction and appropriation of knowledge related to the content of games. The objective was to analyze the impacts of initial and continuing education on the professional trajectory of these teachers, focusing on the construction of knowledge about games in school Physical Education. This is a qualitative research of a descriptive and interpretative nature, derived from a master's dissertation, whose data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, with data analyzed using Bardin’s content analysis technique. The relevance of the study lies in understanding how knowledge about games is constructed and re-signified in the school context, contributing to reflections on teacher education. The results indicate that training processes influence the way the content of games is understood and developed by teachers in the school context.
