This paper aims to raise the issue of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT's) as didactic mechanisms for teaching and textbooks in their relationship with social inequalities, in the context of teaching in the Brazilian educational system, in the years 2019-2021, years of emergence and explosion of Orthocoronavirinae SARS-CoV-2 cases, and also the period in which the internship took place. Thus, we will demonstrate, through a bibliographic review of qualitative and quantitative research in articles published between 2009 and 2020, how the pandemic promoted an increase in the use of ICTs, so that in the research carried out by OLIVEIRA and JUNIOR (2020) and by DUARTE and HYPÓLITO (2020) about 84.3% of the respondent teachers were, in the month of June, developing teaching activities in a non-presential manner, either in their homes or on the premises of the schools; on the other hand, 15.7% did not develop distance activities. Unfortunately, the conditions for accessing these ICTs are not uniform for all students in basic education, so the textbook is still configured as a very important pedagogical teaching tool for the teaching-learning process.
