The purpose of this article is to present some of the findings from a master's research conducted with first-year Computer Science students at a public university in northern Paraná, Brazil. The research addressed the concepts of programming logic, decision structures, and repetition structures using the block programming platform Scratch. During this research, an activity using the Scratch tool was presented to facilitate the teaching of programming through the development of Computational Thinking. The results shown by the students in the Logical Condition Structures activity were qualitatively analyzed and indicate the development of Computational Thinking when used for programming, decision-making, and problem-solving involving algorithms.
