This study was developed with the aim of problematizing the training of Science teachers for the teaching of Physics in the final years of Elementary School based on a dialogue with authors who discuss the subject. In this sense, from a literature review, we present problematizations about the inclusion of Science and Physics disciplines in Basic Education, a dialogue between official documents with the teaching of Physics in Elementary School and discussions about the training of teachers who work in the discipline of Sciences. Some aspects that emerged from this research were the strong presence of physical concepts in official documents for Elementary School, interdisciplinarity as a possibility to address these concepts and also some factors related to the difficulties of teachers who teach in Science. In this study, it was evident that these difficulties may be related to lack of mastery of content, knowledge about methodology, mathematical language, planning, carrying out experiments, among other factors. Thus, it becomes valid to identify, especially in relation to teachers who do not have their initial training in Physics, their difficulties in approaching physical concepts in the discipline of Science.
