The female performance as a teacher was one of the first professions allowed women, a profession that historically lacked prestige because it was considered an extension of domestic activities. The objective was to determine the international scientific production on the biography of women educators, based on articles indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). To meet the scope, a state-of-the-question survey was carried out in May 2022, through a search on the platform. Despite identifying 177 articles on women's biography, which is the growth of female visibility, only eight related to educators. The texts published by journals from five countries: Russia, Spain, Indonesia, Ukraine, Iraq, and Poland were analyzed in full. It was possible to assert that the amount of biographical production on female teachers is small, and, in this scenario, some research used them as a backdrop to discuss macrosocial issues. It concludes, based on the international production indexed in the DOAJ, the persistent devaluation of women's educational contribution to the development of societies.
