The present work discusses a state of the question of the doctoral thesis, in progress, in the area of education. For this, a mapping of research published in the period from 2017 to 2022 was carried out. The educational and pedagogical theory that serves as the basis for the analysis and discussion of the works found is the Historical-Critical Pedagogy. The state of the question now proposed allowed mapping and dialogue on the existing productions on our research object, even if in a still limited way, since only the abstracts were used. Furthermore, they ratify the indices of the relevance of the object of study for the educational field.
