Early Childhood Education constitutes the first stage of Basic Education and plays a fundamental role in promoting the development of inclusive educational practices, especially by prioritizing interactions, play, and experiences that foster children’s holistic development. In this context, academic production contributes to understanding the challenges and school inclusion at this stage of education. This study aimed to analyze academic-scientific productions on Early Childhood Education and Inclusion developed and archived at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and the University of São Paulo (USP), from 2018 to 2025, seeking to identify the predominant theoretical and methodological frameworks, as well as the main themes investigated, in relation to teacher education. Methodologically, this is a systematic review with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out in the institutional repositories of the universities, using the descriptors “Early Childhood Education” and “Inclusion,” combined with the Boolean operator AND. Productions in Portuguese that contained the search terms in the title and/or keywords were selected. The data were organized into analytical charts containing information on authorship, objectives, methodology, theoretical frameworks, and main results. The search identified 13 academic productions related to the theme, 11 from UNESP, one from UNICAMP, and one from USP. The results show a predominance of studies focused on teacher education, inclusive pedagogical practices, and the schooling of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as the recurrence of Cultural-Historical Theory as the main theoretical framework. Research on play, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and Down syndrome was also identified. It is concluded that the analyzed studies contribute to strengthening knowledge about inclusion in Early Childhood Education, while also revealing persistent challenges related to teacher education, availability of resources, and the implementation of educational policies capable of ensuring the participation and learning of all children.
