This article is dedicated to the process of creating the series “Mulheres em Pedaços” and “SubVersão”, carried out between 2020 and 2021. The series are composed of sculptures developed from the appropriation of second-line industrial tableware, that were discarded as being cracked, chipped or broken. Other materials such as embroidery threads and ceramics by hand modeling are also used. Having research as the guiding thread for artistic production, the work involves a theoretical investigation that is based on the history of women, transiting in feminist studies, gender studies and self-writing. The report was produced based on notes made in a field diary and photographic records. The text was developed by the artist, under the supervision of her advisor, based on the Final Work to obtain the Degree in Visual Arts at the State University of Paraná, campus II - FAP. The motivation for the development of these works comes from the author's personal experience as a woman, artist, researcher and teacher. Through research and artistic production, gender asymmetries are evidenced, demonstrating the importance of producing records of the experiences of women artists.
