Abstract

The importance of Environmental Education (EA) concerns the quality of life on the planet, and it’s part of the necessary changes in attitude of the human species in the midst of the environment. Other than that, EA has an important and decisive role in the debate of the positions and forms of participations of the citizens. In this sense, this research, of qualitative approach of the bibliographic type, aims at investigating in the databases of Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology) (IBICT), from the Integrating Projects Textbooks (LD); from the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (National Common Curriculum Base) (BNCC) and from Referencial Curricular Gaúcho do Ensino Médio (Gaucho’s Curricular Referential for High School) (RCGEM), seeking to present the interrelation among them, focusing on the EA. In the IBICT research, it was found the predominance of the EA Conservative conception, as well as that the research which approach the LD, point out to the lack of environmental themes. Now, the studies in the Integrating Projects Textbooks, which present projects related to EA, it being an important textbook to work theme in a critic perspective, constituting, therefore, a resource to supply the lack of EA in the official curricular documents, being quoted, for example in the BNCC transversally, only once, therefore dully presenting itself in the document.
