Abstract

Regardless of the urban scale, socio-spatial segregation is a process that expresses the dynamics surrounding the production of capitalist urban space. Since this is a very complex issue, we recognize that our research does not seek to explore it exhaustively, but rather to highlight the need to deepen the theme in question. We prioritized this research based on the city of Campo Mourão (PR) based on the analysis of the socio-spatial segregation engendered by the State itself through funding for popular housing in the foundation of the Housing Complex Moradias Avelino Piacentini and the Housing Complex Fortunato Perdoncini. The methodology used was based on bibliographic reading, documentary research and mapping, where we used Google Satellite images with the help of the Geographic Information System software QGis@. With this research, it was possible to understand the spatial dynamics in the urban space of Campo Mourão regarding the socio-spatial segregation expressed by the location of the two housing complexes, showing the various forms of exclusion and the difficulty of access to the city by its residents.
