Abstract

This article intends to establish a reflection on the development of collective occupation and intervention tactics in institutional spaces from the analysis of an event held in the first half of 2022 entitled Multiverse Collaborative. Such action exemplifies and reiterates the consolidation of an alternative and heterogeneous circuit of visual arts in Rio de Janeiro and its forms of resistance and search for a “desbunde/ out of flow” or new “countercultural” positioning, heir to the experimental artistic field of the 1960s and 1960s. 70. Finally, this case study intends to contribute epistemologically to debates on the construction of memory and local identity, based on a research methodology drawn from the fields of art history, criticism, and theory.

Author Biography

Renata de Oliveira Gesomino, IART-UERJ

Doutorado e mestrado na linha de pesquisa de História e Crí­tica da Arte pelo PPGAV-UFRJ. Bacharelado em artes plásticas - pintura pela Escola de Belas Artes da UFRJ. Possui licenciatura em educação artí­stica pela UCAM-AVM. Tem experiência na área de Artes Visuais com ênfase em Pintura Moderna e Contemporânea, estudos pós-coloniais e nas relações entre arte e polí­tica com enfoque marxista. Atua como crí­tica de arte e curadora independente tendo produzido inúmeras exposições na última década e textos crí­ticos para jornais, revistas e catálogos de exposições. Coordena o projeto de extensão MACP (Mapeando arte e cultura visual periférica) vinculado ao programa de extensão A crí­tica. Professora adjunta do Departamento de Ensino da Arte e Cultura Popular do IART-UERJ e da Linha de Pesquisa "Arte, cidade e sujeito" do PPGARTES-UERJ
